What is Hydrotherm?
 
As an Advanced Hydrotherm Pregnancy Massage practioner I am pleased to be now able to offer this specialist massage. As well as utilising my skills as an Advanced Aromatherapist & Reflexologist it can help provide relief from the following pregnancy-related conditions;

Hydrotherm is a deeply relaxing massage system carried out whilst lying on two warm water filled cushions. This unique approach to massage encourages a feeling of immense calm and wellbeing whilst at the same time, the body is supported in perfect spinal alignment, with a pregnant lady lying in a slightly raised position so as to relieve the pressure of the baby lying on internal organs and arteries. Lying perfectly flat can lead to the client feeling dizzy & faint as the circulation becomes restricted
 
Although the temperature is a couple of degree's lower for a pregnancy massage than it is for a normal Hydrotherm massage so as not to overheat Mum, the gentle, enveloping warmth of the water filled cushions, helps to soothe painful and tense areas of the body. It helps to ease joint and muscle stiffness, whilst relieving stress and aiding relaxation. Throughout the treatment, the mum-to-be remains on her back with her legs supported, relieving any pressure on her lower back, thus avoiding the disruption and discomfort of having to turn over making this massage a lot more comfortable and relaxing compared to conventional pregnancy massage.
 
 
The versitility of this system allows me to completely tailor your treatment to suit your needs on the day of your appointment. I achieve this by changing the conventional method of booking an appointment where you normally ONLY receive Aromatherapy or ONLY receive Reflexology, with my Hydrotherm treatment you book a time slot, in which you will receive the benefit of any or all of my treatments and experience as well as receiving a 3-Dimensional massage, using my "therapist's toolbox" you can also receive elements of Advanced Aromatherapy & Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Crystal Therapy, Colour Therapy etc to give you a totally beneficial and holistic treatment.

This is a specialized treatment and for the safety of yourself and your baby's health and well being it must only be carried out by a qualified practitioner such as myself. A full consultation must be carried out and I will also have to see your pregnancy notes beforehand and please be aware that if you are experiencing any problems with your pregnancy I must have permission from your GP/Midwife/Consultant beforehand to treat you.
